Building the Archive

It's been a busy month over at Weird & Magnificent. We've been busy enough to put some effort into building out the archive.

What does that mean?

Well, since our bestsellers are our collage tanks made by Chloë over in product design and we've been having to produce more and more every day, Chloë, over in research and development, reached out to Chloë in accounting to see if we could get any more material to pull from. Chloë crunched some numbers and sent them over to our CEO, Chloë, who took a look and guess what? It was approved!

What does that mean for you?

Well, basically, we're going to have fresh material to pull images from, which means more designs! It also is going to ramp up our Collage Night events in a major way. We acquired a lot (as in many items sold in one unit) of  1960's and 1970's Playboys and 1980's Easy Rider magazines. We're going through our LOT of magazines and scanning in the best of the best. Content is being uploaded more or less as I'm typing this (thank you, Chloë in asset management!) The goal is to have a digital archive to pull from to help alleviate some of the guilt that Chloë over in product design feels when she tears a vintage magazine page, by knowing there's a backup she can access later digitally or by printing out the elements that are important.

How do you get access to these digital archives?

By becoming a member! You'll be able to login and download our archive! But remember - you can't print out a copy of the magazine, or that starts to become a publishing issue. Collage rules apply! Our membership will be rolling out in the next few weeks, once we have something for you to access. We'll do a shoutout, so keep checking back in!
